Sagacious Apps ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Rad Libs mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

When you use Google Sign-In to authenticate with the App, we collect the following information from your Google account:

Display Name: Your public name as shown in your Google profile
Email Address: Your Google account email address
Profile Photo: Your Google profile picture URL
User ID: A unique identifier from your authentication provider
Authentication Provider: Information about your sign-in method (Google)
Last Sign-In Timestamp: The date and time of your most recent login

1.2 User-Generated Content

We collect and store the stories you create within the App, including:

Completed story text and word selections
Saved and favorited stories
Story creation and modification timestamps

1.3 Technical and Usage Data

We may collect information about your device and how you interact with the App:

Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
App Usage Data: Features used, content accessed, and time spent in the App
Crash Reports: Technical data about app crashes and errors (to be implemented in future updates)

1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

Location data
Contact lists
Camera or microphone data
SMS or call logs
Data from other apps on your device

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Authentication: To verify your identity and provide secure access to your account
Service Delivery: To provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
Data Synchronization: To sync your created stories across devices via cloud backup
Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

Your created stories are stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. This data remains on your device unless you choose to enable cloud synchronization.

3.2 Cloud Storage

When you are online and have cloud sync enabled, your user data and created stories are backed up to our Firebase database. This data is associated with your unique user ID and is encrypted in transit using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols.

3.3 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

Encryption of data in transit
Secure authentication via Google Sign-In
Regular security assessments
Limited access to personal data by authorized personnel only

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: With Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) for cloud storage and authentication services
Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government regulation
Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (users will be notified)

We do not use any advertising networks or third-party analytics services. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Google Sign-In

We use Google Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in with Google, you are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We only receive the information you authorize Google to share with us (name, email, profile photo).

5.2 Firebase (Google Cloud)

We use Firebase for cloud data storage and authentication. Firebase is operated by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. In-App Purchases

The App offers in-app purchases for premium content. Payment processing is handled entirely by the Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Your purchase history is managed by Google and subject to their privacy policies.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

The App is suitable for all ages, including children under 13. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

7.1 Information from Children

We collect the same limited information from all users regardless of age:

Google account information (name, email, profile photo) when signing in
User-created stories stored locally and synced to the cloud

We do not knowingly collect additional personal information from children without verifiable parental consent.

7.2 Parental Rights

Parents or legal guardians may:

Review the personal information we have collected from their child
Request that we delete their child's personal information
Refuse to allow further collection of their child's information

Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information

9. Data Retention

Upon account deletion:

All personal information (name, email, profile photo) will be permanently deleted
All user-created stories will be permanently deleted from our cloud servers
Local data on your device will remain until you uninstall the App
Deletion is typically completed within 30 days of your request

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside of your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where Firebase/Google Cloud operates.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by:

Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
Providing in-app notification for significant changes

Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

12. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

13. Do Not Track Signals

We do not track users over time or across third-party websites and therefore do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.
